It’s been a while since Cleveland has gotten to experience the magic of The Head and The Heart on one of its stages. Prior to the band’s performance at last year’s LaureLive Music Festival, we hadn’t seen them around these parts since 2014. On June 3rd, they return in support of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, performing at Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica.
The Head and the Heart has that quintessential summer sound: lush harmonies, delicate guitars and percussion that gets your toes tappin’. Theirs is the sound of windows rolled down while road trippin’. Of fireflies and bonfires, laughter and love. Of long nights spent staring up at the stars and early mornings watching the sun paint the canvas of the earth below it with light.
The band has released three albums — 2011’s “The Head and the Heart”, 2013’s “Let’s Be Still” and 2016’s “Signs of Light”. Fans that follow the band’s Twitter account know they have spent a lot of time talking about new music and the next album’s writing process, so perhaps concertgoers will be lucky enough to hear a taste of what they’ve been working on. New music or not – you’re in for a treat if you choose to attend this concert right along the water’s edge in The Flats. Tickets are still available here.
