MWA Approved: Bloodshot Records’ “Too Late to Pray” Release Party – 11/9

Bloodshot Records has been putting a little twang into punk and a bit of fire into country for 25 years. They’re practically scene veterans! How better to celebrate this silver anniversary than an album of some of their favorite bands? Or maybe throw a party in Chicago, their home town? Lucky for us, they’re doing both!

Chicago beers will be flowing. Chicago’s own Hot Doug will have a signature sausage. Five Chicago bands will turn up the volume. Cheap $12 tickets must be bought in advance. Don’t miss ROOKIE, Wild Earp & the Free For Alls, Big Sadie, David Quinn, and The Dyes this Saturday, November 9th from 4pm-10pm. Nice and early for all those old timers (and for those just old at heart). RSVP on Facebook or head to their website for more information.

If you can’t make the show, do buy the 25th anniversary release featuring the aforementioned bands and more. In fact, it includes 22 never-before-released tracks by Chicago artists running the spectrum of classic country, bluegrass, rockabilly, folk, and rock-n-roll! Look for it Friday, November 8th.
