Cleveland’s The Sonder Bombs were one of the latest bands to perform at Audiotree Live. After opening with “I don’t have one anymore,” they played “Atom,” “Title,” and “Pot & Kettle” from their 2018 album, MODERN FEMALE ROCKSTAR. The group ended with a powerful rendition of “Twinkle Lights,” dedicating it to those who suffer from mental illness and survivors of sexual assault.
I imagine it might be challenging to bring a garage pop energy to a controlled studio environment, but The Sonder Bombs translated perfectly on camera, and maybe even brought a tear to my eye with their emotive closing track.
