Detroit-based The Company We Keep have released a new song in advance of an upcoming album. After their 7-inch debut, Making Moves, in April of 2012, the band returned to the studio with new talent and a new vision.
The Company We Keep is the brainchild of Brian Southall (The Receiving End Of Sirens) who enlisted Motion City Soundtrack frontman Justin Pierre to pen the lyrics and vocal melodies. After vocalist Amy Brennan left TCWK, the band held open auditions to fill the spot. After meeting and auditioning powerhouse vocalist Haden Brightwell, their decision was made.
“Held Together” finds the band fusing their electronic elements with blazing guitars and soaring vocals. For those fans of bands like Paramore, “Held Together” is a must-listen. Check out the lyric video below:
“Held Together” is the third single off the band’s debut full-length album. Sound / No Sound will be released via Easy Killer Records on October 29th.
