Since first our ears caught the beautiful harmonies of The Wild Feathers in their riveting Jam in the Van performances from SXSW, we’ve been hooked. Tonight they’ll be at The Beachland Ballroom with Tennessee Jet and Dan Miraldi. The quintet of good ol’ boys embodies everything that Southern rock has always stood for: six strings, bold harmonies, and that itch for the open road. With four of the five members having experience fronting their own bands before coming together, they were destined for strongly crafted songs. Their sound has been described as “if Led Zeppelin & The Band had a baby in Joshua Tree that grew up listening to Ryan Adams covering the Stones 70’s country influenced songs.” Still on the fence? Check out the video that won us over:
Opening for them will be Tennessee Jet, a singer-songwriter whose sound is expansive and his voice riddled with grit. His debut full-length album will be available next month. Check out “Dead Belles & Bones”:
Local Dan Miraldi will start the night off at 8:00pm. Tickets are still available here.
