There’s nothing like a live show mid-week to give you that little extra inspirational “oomph” to power through to the weekend. This Wednesday evening, the Riot Room in Missouri brings some über-talented vocalists to the stage.
L.A. Price calls Independence, MO home, but she sings with such soul she might as well have been raised in Nashville. Her vocals are heartfelt and full of attitude – definitely a good match with the headlining outfit.
PHOX‘s headlining performance comes a day after their full, self-titled album release (today!). I’ve praised PHOX again and again for their soulful, nostalgia-infused vocals and incredible instrumentation – and even years later, nothing’s changed. It’s hard to imagine how their live set could be better than their recorded material, but it is. They’re currently en route to Austin, so be sure to catch PHOX’s indie folk this evening as they’re passing through.

Also playing this evening is Trails and Ways, dream pop outfit from Oakland, CA.
Head to the Riot Room when doors open at 7:30pm, with the show starting shortly after. Seeing as Riot Room claims to be “bringing wasted back in style”, it should be no surprise that this show is 21+. Tickets this evening will just run you.
