With the massive amount of touring Chicago’s Mutts fit into a year, every one of their local shows feels like a homecoming. This is their first headlining gig in over a year and word has it they have plenty of surprises in store.
You might remember the band from Midwest Action’s very first 7″ release, a split with their good friends Archie Powell & The Exports. Or maybe you’ve been following them through the release of 3 EP’s, 4 full-length LP’s and years of dirty, keyboard driven, rock songs that sound like Tom Waits backed by the best garage rock act in town.
They’ve done it all- heartbreaking piano ballads, heavy politically charged rockers, and a slough of inventive covers that will make you rethink the originals. This night should prove to be another turning point for the band featuring some one-of-a-kind collaborations from friends new and old.
