Nowhere, the musical endeavor of Cleveland based musician Matthew Rolin, released their sophomore album, Diamond, in the fall of last year. A follow-up to his 2013 debut, Diamond is a collection of jangly pop songs pulled through a filter of psych-rock influences. The newest video from the album comes from the track “You Never Knew”, and we’re excited to host its premiere on Midwest Action.
Directed and filmed by Cleveland’s TurnStyle Films, the video conjures up thoughts of the ’60s with kaleidoscope-like imagery, overlayed video, and heavy use of color. Kudos to everyone involved because the video complements the track beautifully. Take a look for yourself and you’ll see what I mean.
You can pick up a copy of Diamond on black or translucent green vinyl for just $15 through Jurassic Pop Records. And because the dudes at Jurassic Pop can’t quit being awesome, they also re-released Nowhere’s s/t debut, now available for the first time on vinyl. Head over to their online shop to check out both releases from Nowhere and take a moment to peruse the rest of their excellent catalog.
Nowhere’s next gig will be Saturday, February 21st at Brite Winter – Cleveland’s Annual Winter Art & Music Festival. If you’ll be in the area, you can catch them at the Great Lakes Brewing Company Tasting Room at 6:50 PM. Check out the full schedule of Brite Winter performances here.
