On a chilly Friday evening we schlepted out to Lincoln Hall for one of the hottest sets we’ve seen in a long time. Piano virtuoso Mike Maimone and his band burst out of the gates opening with their latest single “Garbougie” to a packed room. They even premiered a the brand new video for the song on the big screen as they performed it.
We’ve been longtime fans of Mike’s throaty growl and unique style of piano rock with his band Mutts so it’s great to see bassist/guitarist Bob Buckstaff and drummer Ian Tsan make an appeareance in this latest iteration of his band. The 6-piece outfit mirrored Mike’s energy the entire set and delivered an upbeat, heavily danceable, night of music. Check out our photos below and give “Garbougie” another spin while you’re at it.
