Power-Pop quartet Laverne are back with their long awaited second album on the way! The aptly titled Laverne II will be released on Sunday, September 2nd as a very special collaboration between Midwest Action and fellow Chicago label Dumpster Tapes.
You’ll have to wait a few weeks for the full cassette but we’re very excited to give you a taste of “Kinch Like Me”, the very first single from II, presented here for your streaming pleasure. Give it a spin below:
“Kinch” is catchy as hell and just a damn fun rock song. If you’re anything like us, you’re already singing the chorus after one listen. The chilled out groove is broken up by some rippin’ guitar licks. By the end, the entire track sounds like it’s ready to explode. Stream it on repeat until September.
