Chicago’s Harvey Fox have been relatively quiet this year but for good reason—they’ve been putting the finishing touches on their latest LP, Lullabies For The Restless, out next week via Midwest Action.
The new album finds the four-piece sounding stronger than ever. Stylistically, the band jumps seamlessly from indie-pop jams to heavy grunge rockers with a few lounge-y ballads in between. One thing that remains consistent throughout the disc is the lush production. “Braindead” is a fine example of the melodic guitar work, ethereal keyboards, and catchy songwriting that are peppered through “Lullabies”.
