Indie folk fans, rejoice! Stationary Travelers exist, and they have a debut album in the works. They’re looking forward to recording and releasing this for the music community to enjoy, but can only do so with your help.
This Michigan outfit delivers rock with a folky edge, straight from Holland to, well, the internet, for now. But, their Bandcamp page houses some excellent examples of their talent. ST composes their songs to climax perfectly and linger indefinitely. I love Stationary Travelers’ raw, raspy vocals, and the guitar melodies, whether electric or delicate acoustic, give each track a warm feeling. Occasional piano and brass accents are just the cherry on top.

Stationary Travelers’ Kickstarter campaign ends Oct 9, 2013. As of October 2nd, the band has raised a little under $400 of their goal. If you enjoy their music, share their Kickstarter and donate a few bucks. If you’d like them to kayak across Lake Michigan wearing t-shrits with your face on them, you may have to donate a bit more, but it will be worth every penny.
