Our friends in Softly, Dear are putting the finishing touches on their debut full-length, and they need your help. With the actual recording already complete, the folk-rock group is looking to raise $3,000 to pay for their studio time, mixing, mastering, and album art. The campaign closes this Sunday, July 13, so you’ve got just a few days left to make your pledge and help them meet their goal.
A follow-up to the 2013 EP, Portico, the first single, “Things I Say”, is already available for consumption and should give you an idea of what to expect from the upcoming album. We’ve been enjoying the track since it’s release in May, and you can hear it for yourself below.
In exchange for your pledge, Softly, Dear is offering a variety of perks including CDs at the $25 level, posters and hand-screened t-shirts at the $50 level, and even a private house show for a $250 pledge – as long as you live in the Wisconsin or Twin Cities areas.
So if you didn’t spend all of your money on booze and fireworks last weekend, send a few bucks to Softly, Dear and support local music!
