Clevelanders are no strangers to blustery weather conditions and lake effect snow. So when the temperatures reached somewhere in the 30s this past weekend for Brite Winter Festival, it was practically a heatwave. Thousands of people braved the snow and wind and filled Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood to enjoy local and regional musical acts perform on various stages set throughout W. 25th Street. Brite Winter not only provided music as entertainment, there were food trucks galore as well as ice bowling, ping pong and bonfires set up for onlookers looking for unique ways to warm up in the frigid night.
With about 60+ bands and musicians playing, it was difficult to pick which to go see. Some of my favorites were playing at the same time, and despite being torn, I saw some new, awesome acts that deserve some attention. Though the sidewalks were clogged with a freshly fallen accumulation of snow from earlier in the afternoon, I trudged and sunk through Ohio City to bring you a photo recap of the night.
