If you’re at all into Chicago’s indie punk scene you’ve probably caught a set from Sam Vicari at some point. A frequent staple of Fuck Fest (the city’s premiere free anti-summer festival) and a consistent touring act, Sam is always hustling. Today we’re excited to premiere a new video from his latest project—introducing The Feeders.
The song is an undeniable power pop hit that calls to mind ’90s indie acts like Elliott Smith, Material Issue, and The Inbreds (look them up). The ’80s karaoke themed video adds an extra element of fun to an already upbeat rocker about the fleeting nature of love, and well—crippling nervousness.
The band will be releasing their debut full-length tomorrow, November 2nd via local label Sip City Records. Keep an eye out for it and for plenty more from this new Sam Vicari fronted band (and hopefully your new favorite).
