It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Vivian McConnell’s solo project, V.V. Lightbody. We’ve generally enjoyed everything she’s done–be it songs, video sessions, t-shirt designs, live performances–and her recent music video for “Car Alarm” is no exception.
“Car Alarm,” which premiered via FLOOD magazine, features human musician V.V. Lightbody and her non-human co-star, her trusty Buick. Viv dances around (in, near, and on top of) her car throughout the course of the video. It’s kind of rosy and hazy, making me truly miss the breeziness of summer, especially on a particularly chilly October afternoon. Much like the song it’s set to, the video is deliberate, quirky, and maybe even a little sultry.
To see exactly how sultry, watch “Car Alarm” below:
If you got chills around 2:30, that’s not just because the AC just kicked in. That shot! Those moves! Those outfits! I’m a sucker for coordinated dance moves, and “Car Alarm” certainly delivered.
