On February 3rd, Teen Daad will burst onto the Iowa City music scene with a debut show at The Mill. Like a debutante at the fanciest debutante ball, Teen Daad will take the stage and dazzle a crowd of suitors. Very much unlike a ball, though, this event actually looks entertaining. And loud, with a great bill of musicians.
The three-piece rock outfit formed in late 2013 out of a love for no-nonsense, catchy songs. Sometimes referred to as the “alternate universe version of The Olympics“, this Iowa City group also features Jeff Roalson on both guitar and vocals and Noel Nissen on drums. Despite being an infant in band-terms, the power trio have already released an EP and an oddly entertaining music video that’s sure to make any vegetarian (or really, anybody in general) squirm:
“Have a Bite” is undoubtedly the heaviest song on Teen Daad’s EP, Worth It. You can expect to hear more songs off Worth It Monday evening, which are more in the soft, indie rock vein than their single. Check out the EP in its entirety below:
Playing with Teen Daad are Dent May and Jack Name .
