You know what they say – Tuesdays are the new Fridays. Midwest Action is back at Quencher’s Saloon this Tuesday for another action-packed evening of music.
Andrew Kent Wittler will be starting the evening off, and with triple the awesomeness of an average performance. Joining him this evening are Chase Paul (of Joyeux and Queen Buzz) and drummer Matt Margeson. Check out his May 2012 release, The Worrier and The Widow, and prepare yourself for a more flesh-out version of the tunes below:
Inbound Kennedy, formed in 2008, will be playing their last show billed as “Inbound Kennedy”. After some line-up changes, the band is looking forward to moving on and is offering a sneak peak at their new sound this evening. Their first album, Wolfram, was only released in March of 2014, the group is eager to get the next project underway to give a taste of whats to come.
Ariada‘s been on our radar for quite some time now. Their debut self-titled EP made quite a splash over here, but I knew I needed to have the outfit on a bill when I stumbled upon a weekday show of theirs at Emporium in Wicker Park. To the backdrop of Godzilla, they powered through an awesome set that just oozed rock. From the soulful vocals of Lesleigh Arratia to the instrumentation that ranges from jazzy to poppy to , Ariada is equal parts immensely talented and immensely fun.
We hope you’re able to make it out to Quencher’s Saloon this Tuesday for a bill full of MWA favorites. RSVP on Facebook and show everyone how cool you are and how you have, like, so many things going on. Doors at 8:00PM; Show at 8:30PM; 21+. Pick tickets up either online in advance to guarantee entry or at the door for a cool $5. See you there!
