It’s been just over eight months since we touched base with Chicago pop/rock powerhouse, Ariada. Around that time, the group had just released their debut EP and we were thoroughly enjoying it’s big sounds and theatrical vibes. Supporting the release, Ariada has spent the last few months performing at some the cities best venues. Now, with the help of their shiny new van, the group is heading out on the road for their summer tour and kicking things off right here in Chicago tomorrow night with Honey & The 45’s.
Ariada’s s/t EP runs through an impressive range of inspirations and genres within its’ five tracks led by vocalist, keyboardist, and namesake, Lesleigh Arratia. The EP fits together moments of pop, rock, blues, soul and funk with a flawlessly coherent output.
Tomorrow night’s 21+ show starts at 9:00 PM with performances by MG Bailey, Rory Tyer Band and MC Lovin. Wrigleyville’s Cubby Bear is at 1059 W Addison, and you can grab your tickets at the door for just $10.
The group’s summer tour is slated to pass through a whole slew of Midwestern cities including Madison, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, Columbus, and more. Keep your eyes open for show details because if you’re living in the Midwest you won’t want to miss Ariada when they come through.
