One of the lovely/frustrating things about living in Chicago in the summer is the sheer amount of events happening all the time. Gone forever are the nights of looking wistfully out your window waiting for something, anything, to happen. Instead, they’ve been replaced with jam-packed concert schedules and all of your favorite bands playing in town (but all on the same day). It is equal parts awesome and absolutely horrid.
In our quest to make your lives easier, Midwest Action did the work for you (at least for Wednesday, July 16th). We are bringing in Milwaukee-based Animals in Human Attire to Chicago for a killer performance at Quenchers. If you haven’t heard of Animals in Human Attire, you… actually probably have. AIHA might be considered a Milwaukee mega-group of sorts, with each of its six band members (Jack Tell, Myles Coyne) pursuing a band or two on the side (Temple, Lousy Trouts, etc). With such a mix of influences from members, Animals in Human Attire has an amazingly eclectic sound, blending folk, indie, psych-rock, and bluegrass sounds on their most recent album, Ourmegadawn (May 2014). Listen for yourself below:
Taking the stage along Wednesday night along with Animals in Human Attire is Nitetime Dental, Volcano Weather, and DEADBEAT.
Head over to Quenchers when doors open at 8:00PM, and get a good seat for when the show kicks off at 9:00PM. 21+; $5. RSVP to the show on Facebook, and pick up tickets here.
