Summer a’int over just yet and this new single from Dogs At Large is as refreshing as a sip from a cool daiquiri on a hot day. The self-proclaimed psychedelic-yacht-rockers are back with a breezy new tune called “White Van”.
Smooth sax leads over singer/guitarist Sam Pirruccello’s crooning lounge-style vocals make for a throwback vibe that’s reminiscent of ’80s Roxy Music but with a bit of a modern West Coast surf feel. It’s a groovy little number that helps draw out the dog days of summer just a little bit longer.
The band just finished an album called Overpass, keep an eye out for it this year and until then, jump on into “White Van” and go on a mellow joy ride.
