Horace Green toured from Oshkosh, Wisconsin to open the night with “They Say” from their album Early American Ice Cream. Check their return to Chicago today at Uncommon Ground!
“I Want to Be Loved” by Thee Casual Hex roused a rush of euphoric audible bliss. Bubbly veracity provoked unhindered tales of love and deceit. Catch them at The Owl May 23rd with Daydream Review and Happy Face.
Dogs at Large serenaded the audience with songs from their albums Overpass and Delusions of Paradise. Rich Sax flooded the room with flair beneath the billowing “Willow.” Cerebral sensations perpetuated throughout the dynamic interplay of “Mind Gets Strange.” They will be back “Sweet Talkin'” Chicago at Cole’s Bar on June 1st.
In the thick of their Interstellar Tour, Blac Rabbit navigated the audience through a worm hole of celestial ecstasy. Their single “Seize the Day” hovered above the stage on a silvery-toned craft. Entranced by grooves and infused with vivid colors, “All Good” and “Mindspace” captured the mind’s eye. The ladies could not get enough of Rahiem and Amiri Taylor’s cover of the Beatles “I Want To Hold Your Hand.” Bassist Josh Lugo fronted the band for a minute with The White Stripes cover of “Fell In Love with a Girl” and then ripped a solo in “Drive My Car.” Patrick Jones’ cymbals collided with Justin Jagbir’s tamborine as Jones played saucy rhythms.
