It’s been a little over a year since we last spoke with Chicago singer-songwriter Kevin Andrew Prchal about his then newly released sophomore effort, Sorrow Sings. The record, a refreshingly honest addition to the modern landscape of Americana/folk music, has managed to leave a lasting impression and stick with us even a year after its release.
The album’s opening track “Rise & Dim” serves as a beautiful introduction to the record and now with the help of director/editor Max Kitaev, it has its own visual companion. Utilizing double exposure, the video features Kevin and his wife Aly, who lends her voice throughout the album, intertwined with breathtaking nature footage.
