“I Want To Be Loved” by Casual Hex – Song Premiere

We’re pleased to announce the return of ’60s flower power—Casual Hex are leading the charge! The Chicago 4-piece are truly channeling the greats of the decade on their debut single “I Want To Be Loved” premiering today only on MWA.

The beautifully crafted, dreamy pop song will transport you right back to another era. Think The Yardbirds meet Jefferson Airplane. Bassist/vocalist Chace Wall’s sultry verses float over an infectious drum and bass groove and right into an iconic chorus feauturing heavenly vocal melodies from guitarist Alice Kraynak. Hear it for the first time below and let it seep into your subconscious.

The ’60s revival sound is by no means “new” but not every group really does it right. Enter Casual Hex, with harmonies that call back to the Motown sound and guitar solos that sound straight out of Surrealistic Pillow. We can’t get enough of this song and are thrilled to announce the band’s debut EP!

The band’s self-titled EP featuring “I Want To Be Loved” will be released on Limited Edition Cassette Tape via Midwest Action on August 11th! Pre-Order the EP now and be the first person on your block to catch these good vibes.
