It’s been over 2 years since I first laid needle to groove on Calliope’s last release Orbis. Their latest lathe cut single “Astral Hand” was well worth the wait. Channeling the heart and soul of Syd Barrett era Floyd, “Astral Hand” is a groovy trip that dives right in with a psychedelic melange of arpeggiated guitars and ethereal keys.
