Well, who knew that my call for more music (please) would have been so fruitful. American Wolf‘s done it again with “Somewhere Somehow,” released May 21, 2019.
“Somewhere Somehow” is a track that, much like its album art, feels astral. With reverb-drenched vocals coupled with flowing synth progressions and deep electronic drum hits, American Wolf crafts a track that is big and dynamic. How can you not love the contrast between the soft verses and the explosion of emotion at the chorus? I certainly do. The lyrics, though sparse, paint a melancholic picture. It’s a little less dreamy this time around and a little more introspective in a way that leans the song into the bedroom pop realm.
