With a full-length album released this past October on local Chicago label Dumpster Tapes, we weren’t expecting much more from Jollys in 2018—but life uh… finds a way.
Last month saw the release of a rad little EP by the name of Cosmic Heels and damn is it a ripper. For fans of lo-fi garage rock with a groove you can dance to. Check it out below:
It’s a wonder the the title track “Cosmic Heels” didn’t make the cut for the full-length album. The raucous guitar jam is an instant Jollys classic that we can’t stop listening too. The other previously unreleased track “I Don’t Mind” feels like The Velvet Underground and The Ramones put through a power-pop blender (that’s a thing right?)
You can pick up this amazing “Hand Pour Edition” 7″ from Australian label Salty Dog Records. This beauty is worth the import.
Give this record a spin on the comfort of your own turntable and check out the band’s recent additions to their already prolific catalog of groovy garage rock via the links below.
