Give It a Spin: “Back On Your Feet” by Chelusier – Song Premiere

Chicago-land 4-piece Chelusier draw influence from a variety of sources—their chime-y guitars and crystal clear melodies call to mind the polished production of ’90s and ’00s Alternative Rock while the driving bass lines sound more like the Dead Kennedy’s. Their slick guitar hooks will bring you back to that early Strokes sound but a bit more laid-back. All of these styles combine to make a unique blend of pop rock that is undeniably catchy.

Their new single is is a real foot-tapper. Living up to the name “Back On Your Feet” it’s bound to get at least one of your feet tapping. A punchy drum beat kicks it off with the rest of the band entering soon after. Layers of melodic guitars trade riffs as frontman Justin Wheeler’s vocals float on top of it all. Capped off with a fuzzy guitar solo—”Back On Your Feet” is a solid pop song through-and-through. The song fades out with the same punchy drum beat where it all began, framing things nicely.
