For this edition of Crowdfund Crawler, we’re headed over to PledgeMusic where our friends in indie-rock outfit Santah are raising money to fund the production of their second full-length record. Following up the 2012 EP, You’re Still A Lover and the Awwh Man 7” from this past spring, Santah is shooting to have the new record in your hands by May of next year.
We’ve been fans of the group’s dreamy, harmony-rich tunes since their full-length debut, White Noise Bed, in 2011. If you haven’t been introduced, check out our relatively recent FIVE x FIVE interview with keyboardist Tommy Trafton.
Raising money to complete the mixing, mastering and pressing of the record, Santah has reached almost 60% of their goal with just over three weeks left in the campaign. Everyone who supports the effort is granted access to PledgeMusic’s trademarked “AccessPass” – a behind-the-scenes experience with an advanced look at the album, bonus materials, and a whole bunch of exclusives.
Other perks at different pledge levels range from traditional merch to custom tailored clothing and private concerts. Check out the full menu of options on the campaign page.
In addition, PledgeMusic allows bands to allocate an amount of funds raised to be donated to a charity of their choice. In Santah’s case, 5% of all pledged money raised above the target will go to Ceasefire Chicago, the Illinois branch of the Cure Violence Organization.
If you’ve got some extra cash this month, pledge a little to this worthy cause and keep on supporting sweet Midwestern music!
