If you haven’t noticed, we’re big fans of Mutts around here. The hard-working Chicago trio are always up to something, and now frontman Mike Maimone has landed himself a sweet monthly residency at Chicago’s High Hat Club.
Billed as “Mike & Friends”, Maimone will be taking the stage with a special guest or two on the first Thursday of each month throughout 2015. This month’s performance takes place tomorrow, 3/5, and Mike will be joined by JC Brooks (JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound) and Yoo Soo Kim (Hemmingbirds).
The trio will be performing a few Mutts tunes, a few from JC Brooks, and even a couple of covers. Mike has promised to make each night interesting and unique, and from what we’ve seen of his stage presence and performance power in the past, we have no reason to doubt him.
The High Hat Club is at 1920 W Irving Park in Chicago and their Cajun-infused dinner starts tomorrow night at 5:00 PM with music from 8:30 to 11:00. There is a suggested donation of $5. RSVP here.
