Tonight, Evanston’s most versatile venue, SPACE, hosts two great musicians for an evening of reflective, folk-tinged tunes.
Chicago’s Briar Rabbit has never been one to not wear his heart on his sleeve. His performances are honest, his banter is sincere, and he never loses sight of the humor in a situation and the positive in the world. Briar Rabbit is an amazing and talented entertainer, and has been since his February 2011 debut, The Company You Keep. Following Briar Rabbit’s performance, the night will transition smoothly from one heartfelt singer-songwriter to another. Acoustic guitar in tow, Nashville’s Griffin House will take the stage and fill the venue with meandering, folky tunes. House’s pop sensibilities are balanced with a healthy touch of rootsy influences, resulting in a warm performance.
