It’s Friday! Well, it will be, and if you’re looking to kick off the weekend with a good beer and some even better music, then make your way to Schubas.
Visiting Chicago from Indiana are Bonesetters, In January, their sophomore album Figure It Out was released (you might recall our album review). Their music is a little surf, a little doo-wop, a little indie rock and entirely fun to listen to. Now that the weather is getting warmer, Figure It Out will be provide some great summer listening. Get there early on Friday and catch these guys while they’re in town.
Carbon Tigers The Wars At Home EP is now in it’s second pressing for those that snoozed on grabbing it when it came out last November. This Chicago-based 4-piece has been getting a lot of attention, both locally and nationally after a string of successful SXSW showcases. They’ve got a sound that is accessible and enjoyable to just about any rock fan. On top of that, they’re probably one of the best live bands in Chicago.
Tonight, Santah is releasing their newest 7″ record, AWWH MAN. A driving, yet very laid-back indie rock tune, “Awwh Man” is a great taste of the what the band has in the works for their next full-length LP. The B-Side “Won’t Be Long Now” is an equally catchy tune as well. The 7″ will be available at the show and also via bandcamp, but don’t hesitate to pick one up, it’s a limited edition of 150!
