Currently located in Los Angeles, the Chicago-born rock quartet Filligar is headed back home this Wednesday for a headlining performance at Lincoln Hall. The show marks the third stop of the group’s summer tour and its only Midwest date. I could write paragraphs detailing the group’s achievement’s and accolades, but all you need to know is that Filligar knows how to put on one hell of a rock show. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the guys perform a handful of times over the last few years, and I can tell you with certainty that their live show is not something to miss.
Just last year, the group released their fifth studio album, and this past April saw the release of their first 7″ single, “Photos of Madrid“. Filligar is already at work on new music evidenced by their newest single “Motor Shine”, released just last Tuesday. The 18+ show starts at 8:00 PM next Wednesday at Lincoln Hall – 2424 N Lincoln Ave. Opening for Filligar will be Carleton Koldyke and MWA favorites, Carbon Tigers. Tickets will cost you just $12 and can be picked up online in advance of the show at the door.
