There are plenty of things Chicago could break: records for lowest temperatures, records for most snow accumulation, records for cheesiest nicknames (“Chiberia”, I’m looking’ at you). You know, stuff like that. One thing that it could never break, though, is the ever-talented JC Brooks, as proven in his brand new track “You Can’t Break Me”, premiering today on Midwest Action.
The song celebrates hanging tough during the harsh Chicago winter, and it comes at a time when we Chicagoans can certainly relate. JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound’s new track has everything you’re looking for in a JCBUS tune – classic rock ‘n’ roll feel, soulful vocals, horns… “You Can’t Break Me” has me feeling nostalgic in all the right ways.
