MWA devotees may recall the talents of Kevin Andrew Prchal from our Midwest Mixtape Vol. 1 which featured his bittersweet track “Everything Kills”. Kevin is back with a gorgeous full length album, entitled Love & Summer.
We’re pleased to bring you the first taste of the album—a haunting, blues-folk masterpiece called “Midnight in the Churchyard”. Kevin’s silky smooth vocals float effortlessly over some minimal blues guitar and a driving beat. If it weren’t for the modern production on this track it might just sound like a traditional folk tune that’s been passed down for generations.
By the end of this ghostly tune a lush cacophony of guitar, keyboard, harmonica, and a melange of other instruments elevate the song to an otherworldly level. You may just find yourself listening to it over and over just to pick out every subtle element.

Kevin Andrew Prchal’s Love & Summer will be available for digital download tomorrow, June 30. Vinyl and CDs are available for Pre-Order and are slated to be shipped on or around August 1, 2017.
Prchal will celebrate the release with a headlining show at Fitzgerald’s Nightclub (6615 Roosevelt Road) in Berwyn, IL on Saturday, August 5 at 8:30pm.
