MWA Premiere: “Pedal” by The Hudson Branch

At the beginning of the year Chicago alt-pop quartet The Hudson Branch was wrapping up a run of cross country shows in support of their latest release Kina Ze Swah. Reflecting on the ever-evolving nature of music, the guys shared with us a live video featuring a different take on one of the cuts from that record.

Now, half a year later, we are excited to offer the premiere of their brand new song “Pedal”. Simultaneously dreamy and upbeat, the pop-fueled “Pedal” feels like the soundtrack to summer adventure. The band had this to say about the track:

“‘Pedal’ is about sustaining forward movement through the times when you want to give up. The promise of summertime in the dead of a Chicago winter can be a feeling so powerful that it outshines the struggles in which you find yourself. This song is dedicated to capturing those energies that drive you even if you don’t quite know where they’ll take you.”

If you’re digging the new track as much as we are, swing by The Hudson Branch’s Bandcamp and check out their impressive discography.
