Many independent labels have become like upscale boutique shops of sorts, selling a premium quality vinyl package in very limited quantities. If you don’t jump on those pre-orders or grab these limited items on day one, you’re often out of luck. I’ve been there countless times, and I’m sure most record nerds out there can relate.
Well, our friends at Joyful Noise are here for you. Today, they’ve announced their “Private Stash” sale, another chance to pickup some of their limited releases from artists like Sebadoh, Kishi Bashi, Thurston Moore, Why? and more.
Like many labels do, Joyful Noise sets aside 15-20 copies of each of their releases as a “reserve”. This way they’re able to replace copies which are damaged in shipping, defective, etc. However, Christmas came early this year and instead of hoarding these gems they are offering their customers a second chance to snag some of these great releases! Here’s a sampling of what’s up for sale:
