Deadly Habits is a trip hop, R&B and electronic music project helmed by Chicago-based producer Evan Lyman. “Under The Serious Moonlight,” the first song off their June release, Night Vision, is a swanky nighttime track that feels dark and sexy. As the song progresses, Animah Boakye’s soulful vocals swirl more and more around the electronic instrumentation. They truly begin to coalesce and work towards something–a higher purpose, a goal, “the drop”? I’m holding my breath. And then, the song explodes, and I can finally exhale.
