At least that’s what Chicago singer-songwriter Emily Blue‘s bandcamp page says, and who am I to disagree? Off her double single, #BubbleGumAcidPop, is “Rico Acid”, and to be frank, I am falling for this track. The song starts minimally, with Emily Blue using a sticcato’d vocal harmonies as an instrument before growing the song into a lush soundscape. Bassy synth and reverb-laden guitar swirl around her pitch-perfect vocals in this swanky, mysterious tune.
