Chicago’s purveyors of electropop, Dozens, are back with their single, “Summer Love“. This song, released in October, was the first from the band since “Forget Me” was released at the end of 2011.
“Summer Love” is a stark, ambient-leaning piece of nocturnal electropop about failed love and regrets from a relationship gone wrong. The track offers sparse yet catchy drum beats and warm synth leads throughout, capturing a perfectly moody sound. There’s a good medium presented in “Summer Love”; it’s as equally cold and reflective as it is endlessly warm-sounding and danceable, making the track a must listen.
