Give It A Spin: “Simple Mind / We Won’t Make It Out Alive” by Post Child

One of Chicago’s finest garage rock bands, Post Child, have dropped another single from their upcoming record New Age Whatever, set for release February 28th on Eye Vybe tapes, and you should be very excited. I loved the first single they dropped in August, the three minute piece of garage-punk goodness “Stop What You’re Doing To Me”, so much that I featured it on the first episode of Midwest Actions very own The Corner Booth podcast.

The distorted goodness continues on the band’s two new tracks”Simple Mind” and “We Won’t Make It Out Alive”. The first track “Simple Mind” is a stomper of a track that would not have sounded out of place on early Dinosaur Jr or Pavement records. On the other hand, the garage punk rocker “We Won’t Make It Out Alive” is meant to be played loud, which you can do when you give it a spin below. Convenient, right?

Better yet download it through Bandcamp for a mere two dollars. (That’s a buck a song, folks!)
