The Noise FM are an indie rock trio from Chicago by way of small town Kansas. The band consists of brothers Alex and Austin Ward and bassist Barry Kidd. Their beat derives from keyboard-driven dance rock with some indie rock inspiration thrown in. Not to mention, they feature some killer drumming and infectious grooves.
These guys have been making waves in Chicago’s indie rock scene since 2008 with the release of their first LP, Dream Of The Attack. They are now releasing a new LP, Attraction, to follow up the killer singles and EPs the band put out since then.
The first single from the album “Crooked Smile” is being released October 11th, and it’s a very choice track. Featuring a subtle yet affecting bass line and an extremely dancy and propulsive beat, it’s impossible not to get lost in this songs dark grooves. If you’re a fan of moody post punk or just some good ol’ dance rock, you’ll find a lot to love with this track. Give It a Spin below and be sure to grab a copy of Attraction later this month through label The Record Machine.
