Sam Crossland can write a damn good pop tune. His songs range from upbeat pop-punk to lush indie rock arrangements. The latest single from the band, “Cosmos of Love” is yet another catchy rock tune with a universal appeal.
Lyrically, the track is an uplifting tale of day-to-day survival, even when it’s telling you “We’re just a speck of dust in the cosmos of love” it doesn’t feel like a bad thing.
The video that accompanies the song is equally high-spirited and is something any Chicagoan can’t help but enjoy at least a little bit. Whether it’s recognizing the city blocks you’ve walked down a million times or just relating too hanging out with friends on a hot summer day, these scenes have a little something for everyone.
