The first ever Shred Fest Chicago took place a few weekends ago and the lineup was incredible. Local (and not so local) female fronted bands like Swimsuit Addition, White Mystery, Bleach Party, and Cassie Ramone were just some of the bands on the day long bill. The fest included 15 bands, speakers, workshops, DJ’s and much more.
The whole thing was presented by Miss Alex White, Animal Kingdom, and of course, She Shreds Magazine, the best magazine around dedicated to female musicians. While we didn’t get a chance to see the entire day of music, Midwest Action photographer Ashley Deakins grabbed some great photos from the fest.
