Little Green Cars are going to be kicking it at Schubas for one of the many Lollapalooza after shows. If you’re like a certain Midwest Action writer, then those Lolla tickets are just a little out of your price range. Why not save the cash and catch the latest incursion into the Midwest that good old Ireland has to offer.
Little Green Cars is currently making their way around the globe to promote their new album Absolute Zero. This Irish quintet is playing everywhere from The Netherlands to England and we couldn’t be happier that they made the Midwest one of their pit stops.
With their latest album being produced by Markus Dravs (Aracade Fire), Little Green Cars continues to produce amazing tunes that are hard to compare. There’s definite folk roots but driving bass lines and almost ghostly lyrics on songs like “My Love Took Me Down to the River to Silence Me” make this band stand apart. Made up of Stevie Appleby, Faye O’Rourke, Adam O’Regan, Donagh Seaver O’Leary, and Dylan Lynch this band is a must see in the line up of Lolla after shows. Little Green Cars is quickly on the rise and are selling out shows left and right so do not miss your chance to see them this Friday @ Schubas. The show kicks off at 11pm and will cost you $18 to get in. They will be performing with The Dunwells (who just so happen to also be from “across the pond” and are gracing the Midwest with their presence).
